From What-ifs to Wins: My journey at FabCom - Scottsdale’s Top Digital Marketing Agency

As many of us are nervous about beginning our careers right after college, I decided to take a big leap and move across the country as well. At the time, I had a lot of what-ifs running through my mind: Was this the right decision? Would I find a job and a company that would challenge me and make me excited to come to work every day? Thankfully, I landed my first job out of college at FabCom, a Scottsdale digital marketing agency, and it has been an incredible journey ever since.

In my first month at FabCom, I immediately began gaining valuable knowledge and skills. I was tasked with earning multiple SEO- and SEM-centric marketing certifications, which greatly enhanced my understanding of the platforms I’d be working in, allowing me to excel in my job duties right from the start. Additionally, I learned how to manage our clients’ organic social media, create real-time dashboard reports, implement PPC campaigns across a multitude of platforms and channels, and zero in our digital campaigns with niche audience targeting.

By leveraging various tools, I conducted in-depth keyword research, optimized our clients' website cross links and backlinks, and analyzed competitor performance to position our clients ahead of the competition. For one client, this comprehensive approach led to a significant 21% increase in engagement and conversions across all campaigns, along with improved search engine rank positions (SERP).

Since then, I haven’t stopped learning and growing at FabCom. I have been cross-trained on multiple different job tasks within the marketing agency, including content development, video production, and back-end website tracking. This diverse training has broadened my skill set and given me a well-rounded understanding of the digital marketing landscape. The knowledge I’ve gained since I started working here is invaluable, enabling me to contribute to various projects and collaborate effectively with my marketing agency team.

What initially surprised me at FabCom was the meticulous attention paid to understanding our clients' target audiences and crafting thorough marketing strategies to connect with them. Targeting wasn't based on just demographics and basic preferences; it was a deep dive into the psychology and behavior that drives consumer decisions at different stages in the customer life cycle. Early on, I had a conversation with the ad agency’s founder and CEO, Brian Fabiano about this very methodology. He'd written a book called Neuromarketology that delved into this very concept, exploring methods to uncover a customer's unique behavioral, demographic, sociographic, and psychographic connections to a brand. Brian's passion for this topic was infectious, and it completely solidified my understanding of how much in-depth research and detail goes into crafting truly successful marketing strategies here at FabCom.

Looking back, taking the leap and moving across the country to work at FabCom was absolutely the right decision. This top Scottsdale advertising agency has become more than just a workplace – it's a place where I'm constantly challenged and inspired. Every day brings new opportunities to learn cutting-edge skills and hone my marketing expertise.
