This week, both Google and Microsoft dropped major press releases touting their innovative new products. They combine AI with deep data mining and marketing automation for creating, as one press release states, “meaningful messages at scale.” In other words, they claim the capability to speak meaningfully to each constituent of a mass audience — individually — at any point in their buying cycle. This is pretty much the Holy Grail of marketing. (See links to Microsoft’s and Google’s press releases at the end of this post.)
